The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 people
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Drink (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
Making the Syrup: Combine the listed items inside a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, mixing until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the burner and leave to cool down fully. Decant to a sealable bottle, close it keeping it in the refrigerator, it will last for about one month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour the specified liquid ingredients in a large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then strain preferably using muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Measure 85ml of your batch mix into a stirring glass filled with ice, and stir carefully for one minute to chill. Filter to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
